I’m Sam — a photographer and artist based in Marino, South Australia, creating landscape photography and abstract fluid art inspired by nature, light, and movement.
My photography focuses on the South Australian coastline and surrounding landscapes, capturing the mood and atmosphere of a place rather than just the scene itself. I’m drawn to natural light, shifting weather, ocean textures, and those quiet, in-between moments that often go unnoticed. Each image is created with a focus on emotion, simplicity, and a sense of calm.
Original Art
Alongside photography, I create abstract fluid art under Splosh & Splodge. These works are expressive, layered, and intuitive, shaped by movement, colour, and flow. Each piece is created without strict planning, allowing texture and interaction between materials to guide the outcome. The result is original abstract artwork that feels organic and open to interpretation.

My work is influenced by nature, particularly coastal environments, and the way colour, light, and texture interact in natural settings. Whether through photography or painting, I aim to create pieces that bring a sense of stillness, connection, and reflection into a space.
I sell landscape photography prints and canvas wall art, as well as original abstract paintings and fluid art pieces, available online and through selected markets and exhibitions in South Australia.
Everything I create is centred around slowing down, noticing detail, and bringing a sense of nature and atmosphere into everyday spaces.
